FRIENDS DOWN SYNDROME WEST FLORIDA is seeking a Marketing & Communications assistant in the management of social media accounts and development of promotions to recruit down syndrome families, sponsors, and professionals.

Qualifications: Degree in Marketing and Communications

Responsibilities: Increase FDSWF population, host presentations; contact sponsors & foundations; create outreach flyers, web content.

Provide social media content for Facebook and Twitter, assist with writing Newsletters and publications.

Attend all functions and events.

Hours: as many as you wish to donate.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. MISSION • To provide vital special needs information, education, and resources, to expectant and new families. • Offer essential support, understanding, and advice to those with Down syndrome and/or other disabilities. • To provide fun activities in a safe and accepting atmosphere where our families and individuals can connect with each other.

Description

A volunteer-based, non-profit 501C3, founded in 2007 by families impacted by Down Syndrome and other special needs. We are committed to offering support, resources, and acceptance to all individuals with special needs and their families. We provide year-round programs, public education, community activities, and volunteer opportunities for those who want to help our special needs community.
