FDSWF mission is to provide educational and support services to new parents and families, to empower special needs individuals and help them to become more independent. To promote community integration and together celebrate the lives of people impacted by Down Syndrome and other special needs.
A volunteer-based, non-profit 501C3, founded in 2007 by families impacted by Down Syndrome. We are committed to offering support, resources, and acceptance to all individuals with special needs, Down syndrome, and their families. We provide year-round programs, public education, community activities, and volunteer opportunities for students. We advocate for awareness for our special needs community and have become the leading voice for Down Syndrome in the West Florida.
