Mission Statement

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. mission is to provide educational and support services to new parents and families, to empower special needs individuals and help them to become more independent. To promote community integration and together celebrate the lives of people impacted by Down Syndrome and other special needs.

Description

A volunteer-based, non-profit 501C3, founded in 2007 by families impacted by Down Syndrome and other special needs. We are committed to offering support, resources, and acceptance to all individuals with special needs and their families. We provide year-round programs, public education, community activities, and volunteer opportunities for students. We advocate for awareness for our special needs community.

It was an amazing experience being able to assist with the buddy walk . Sylvia was a great leader that today and was great at showing us what to do and telling everyone where they needed to be .
