Overview: co-teach a multi-level math class with an Adult Education Instructor and a co-volunteer.

Details:

Co-teach a multi-level math class that meets Mondays and Wednesdays 9am-12pm.

Teach basic math skills to adults working towards obtaining a high school equivalency

Work as part of the teaching team, prepare students, work one on one and in small groups

Qualifications:

Basic and intermediate math skills

Excellent communication skills

Willingness to work in a diverse environment with people from all backgrounds and educational abilities

High degree of initiative and creativity

People to people skills

Pima College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Mission: We meet every adult learner where they are, honor their strengths and support them to their goals.

We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.

Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
