We are in the midst of planning for our cinco de mayo celebration coming up on Friday, May 5, 2017 and we are looking for volunteers to help make this event a success! This event includes food, drinks, music, auctions, and a game of chance - all to raise money towards funding Families in Transition’s (FIT) housing and services like our newest initiative: the Manchester Recovery and Treatment Center. Our goal is to raise $140,000 that night.
How can you help us make this event a success?We are looking for volunteers the week of Monday, May 1 through Friday, May 5 with cleaning and decorating the event space, as well as assisting the night of the event with various tasks. All are welcome! Teens, groups, families - the more the merrier.

At Families in Transition our mission is To Prevent and Break the Cycle of Homelessness. There are countless ways to get involved with Families in Transition. At the heart of everything we do are individuals and organizations that choose to donate their time, money and services to help us make a difference in the lives of so many.
Description
Volunteering within the agency is a great opportunity to really see our mission at work and to connect with our staff and participants. Some of these volunteer opportunities include shifts at the food pantry, serving a meal at the shelter, sorting donations at Outfitters, helping with building maintenance, and supporting our staff with various administrative projects. We have opportunities for both individuals and groups as well as on-going and one-time projects.
