Candle Lighter Campaign

We are looking for Team Leaders who can help with an online campaign that demonstrates commitment to stopping violence and helping people - especially kids - earn to live in peace.

The campaign will benefit K - 12 schools in Minnesota by supporting their efforts to reduce bullying behavior and to teach youth positive relational skills like empathy, respect, cooperation and how to resolve conflicts peacefully. We believe that peaceful schools lead to peaceful homes, workplaces and communities.

We are working to recruit 200 people to make a contribution of $10 or more and to write a Facebook message that they participated in the campaign.

We are asking that Team Leaders recruit 5 people to join them in making a gift and posting a message on Facebook on a day that you choose date between November 1 and November 16.

Last year 154 participated in the campaign, symbolically lighting candles by their contributions and Facebook messages.

Everybody who makes an online contribution of $10 or more from November 1 through November 17 through our online contribution page has their gifts entered into Give to the Max Day drawings for an additional $1,000 or $10,000 by GiveMN.org.

You can make a difference in what kids learn and how they treat each other.
