Engage kids in creative and educational activities this summer by volunteering with Bienestar's Summer Lunch and Fun program!
Starting in June, Summer Lunch and Fun will meet Monday-Friday from 12-2:15 p.m. at two locations in Hillsboro. Volunteers will help distribute prepared lunches, and then help staff members lead activities with small groups of kids from the community.

All activities are run by a full-time Bienestar staff member with the help of our dedicated, talented volunteers. This schedule is subject to change.

Description
Bienestar is a 35-year-old nonprofit community development corporation providing affordable housing and resident services to agricultural workers and other low-income families in Washington County. Bienestar owns 12 apartment properties and serves more than 2,000 individuals, about 93% of whom are Latino. In addition, Bienestar has built and sold five lease-to-own homes to farmworker families.
Through our on-site Community Rooms, Bienestar offers free resident services programs, including educational youth and adult programs. These include MpowR Club, financial literacy programs, ESL classes, GED classes, Education Navigation, Summer Lunch and Fun, Explorador Camp, Individualized Development Accounts and more.
