Help Formerly Homeless Artists Prepare a Dance Recital

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Lantern Community Services

  • 7 people are interested

Lantern Community Services has partnered with Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and Eric Taylor Dance to put on a multi-disciplinary performance with five of our formerly homeless clients who have past experience in dance--giving them a platform to express themselves as artists. The performance is open to the public on Friday, June 2nd, but our dancers begin their work on April 17th. Lantern is looking for a variety of volunteers:

  • Volunteer Videographers to help document the journey of our dancers as they choreograph and rehearse for the recital between April 17th and June 2nd. Videographers would be responsible for recording and editing video of multiple days of the preparation--as well as the final show.
  • Day-Of volunteers to usher and check-in audience members on the day of the recital.
