The Pikes Peak Children's Museum needs interested community members who can further our operations by joining our Events Committee. The Events Committee plans our popular Noon Year’s Eve event (including working with local businesses to facilitate the silent auction), decides which local events and festivals we’d like to attend, recruits volunteers to represent us at festivals, and plans VIP events. This would be a great fit for you if you have experience recruiting volunteers OR if you’re great at connecting with businesses OR you’re a natural at running a spreadsheet OR you throw excellent parties!!
Time commitment is: meetings 1x per month in the spring/summer, ramping up to possibly 2x per month in the fall plus a few hours a week working with vendors, sponsors, donors, hosts, the ticketing system, and marketing the event. We prefer that Events Committee members generally be in town to attend Noon Year’s Eve.
This is a really fun committee and by volunteering to be on this committee, you'll be making a HUGE difference in the future of the Pikes Peak Children's Museum and in the Colorado Springs community.
