COME JOIN OUR TEAM OF EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICIANS!

Americares operates four free clinics in Fairfield County in Norwalk, Bridgeport, Danbury and Stamford. Our mission is to provide free quality health care to low-income, uninsured residents in a setting where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. By partnering with local hospitals and Quest Diagnostics for donated laboratory and diagnostic testing, and by relying upon a hybrid paid/volunteer staff, we are able to provide free primary care to the working poor. Since 1994, we have provided more than $129 million in medical care to 28,000 patients.

Our physicians have an excellent support team of caring and competent nurses, medical assistants, patient care coordinators and interpreters.

Physicians are required to be Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine. Our medical volunteers typically work a 4 hour clinic session at least once every 4 weeks.

We provide medical malpractice coverage for all medical staff while on site. Retired physicians who volunteer 100 hours or more in a calendar year are eligible to waive their license renewal fee.
