Activity Volunteer for Our Youth Program! (Estes Park Area)
ORGANIZATION: Partners
Please visit the new page to apply.
Here at Partners Mentoring Youth, we aim to enrich lives and build community as leaders in youth mentoring. We have a variety of programs, including a community-based program for kids who are on our waitlist for a one-to-one mentor.
Partners is seeking volunteers to help us as we provide fun and educational activities every month for our waiting youth to keep them engaged and offer an outlet for kids outside of their school and their home. Examples of these activities include:
- Cooking Classes
- Laser Tag
- Colorado Rockies Game
- Arts and Crafts Projects
- Astronomy Night
- Community Volunteering
The Activity Volunteer role is flexible, allowing volunteers to sign up to help with activities that fit into your schedule and interest. The commitment is to assist with six activities throughout the year.
We shape these activities to help youth gain experience with community service, build life skills, and enjoy recreational opportunities. Research shows that these safe, drug- and alcohol-free activities are successful in countering factors that put youth at risk, as well as assisting in positive growth and development.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower youth and community members to achieve their full potential through mentoring, prevention education, and strategic partnership.
Description
We are the most comprehensive one-to-one youth mentoring program in Northern Colorado, exceptional at matching and supporting mentoring relationships with positive volunteer mentors and youth who need extra support.
Mentoring is a well-documented prevention strategy for positive youth development. Consistent with national research behind mentoring, we know that our mentoring programs work. Our evaluation results show that after just one year in our mentoring program, our youth have:
- Greater sense of hope
- Increased self-esteem
- Increased academic achievement
- Less delinquent behavior and substance use
Our youth, boys and girls ages 7-17, are referred by professionals in the community (school counselors, therapists, etc.) because they are experiencing circumstances that put them at risk of not reaching their full potential in life (poverty, abuse, mental health issues, family instability, etc.) They are great kids with a great potential to succeed, but need a little extra support.
We always need more mentors for our youth--we typically have 60-100 kids on our waitlist, eager to get matched with a mentor. Please consider BEING the difference in the life of a local youth.
