We are currently recruiting volunteers for the 78th Covestro Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair (Covestro PRSEF) which connects more than 1,000 students in grades 6-12 with our area’s scientists and engineers. The competition takes place at Heinz Field - Club Levels. Mark your calendar for Friday, March 31, 2017!

The following opportunities are available on Friday, March 31:

SET-UP ASSISTANTS 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - 30 needed
During the Science Fair, you will serve as the students' first point-of-contact on the project floor. You will help students find their project's location and help with larger or multi-piece project displays. More than 1,000 students are expected, and that means over 1,000 projects will need to be set up between 7:00am and 9:30am. Wear your running shoes! Plan to be busy, busy, busy! You will no doubt have FUN in what will seem like chaotic confusion.

SET-UP ASSISTANT/INSPECTORS 6:30a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - 45 needed
You will start the day as a Set-up Assistant and become an Inspector once students begin to arrive. You are the most powerful volunteers. You will receive a list of requirements and an Inspector Checklist to assist in your review of student projects. After they've completed set-up, each student will raise an ORANGE inspection sheet;your cue to do your thing. Over 1,000 students are expected, and that means more than 1,000 projects will need to be inspected between the hours of 7:00am and 9:30am.

STUDENT GUIDES/FLOOR MANAGERS 6:30a - 10:30a, 9:30a - 1:30p or 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
You will be strategically placed within Heinz Field and outside Carnegie Science Center to assist with student flow, ensuring movement is done in a safe and timely manner. All shifts are available. Pittsburgh Police will be available as students cross the street. Have FUN!

PHOTO ASSISTANT, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
You will assist the photographers to ensure that every student is photographed.

LUNCH ASSISTANCE, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (at Carnegie Science Center)
You will be strategically placed within Carnegie Science Center to assist with student flow during lunch, ensuring movement is done in a safe and timely manner. Have FUN!

SPONSOR AWARD RUNNERS/DISMISSAL COORDINATORS 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Wear your running shoes. You will be in all club levels of Heinz Field distributing awards to our sponsors to present to the winning students or assisting the Information Hub with dismissal of students.
