Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest seeks a volunteer coordinator that is enthusiastic about maintaining our capacity to recruit and retain volunteers to assist our clients. The volunteer coordinator will coordinate and manage volunteers in the Aging & Disability, Children & Family, and Refugee divisions in Tucson, Arizona.
- Coordinate with supervisors/staff to identify volunteer needs
- Collaborate with other members of the volunteer coordination team
- Create volunteer roles and post for recruitment
- Meet with potential volunteers, provide information and help volunteer through onboarding process
- Coordinate with supervisors to provide orientation for volunteers
- Provide ongoing support and communication with volunteers to ensure positive experience and address any challenges or concerns
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. Must have intermediate computer skills. Position requires an ability to work well with diverse populations. A background in volunteer management is preferred.
