Volunteer-Led Organization
Since 1982, volunteers have led our organization, and they continue to do so today. An integral part of our team, volunteers play many roles from working with patients, families and pets to providing organizational direction as a member of our board of directors. Volunteers assist in fulfilling our mission and add great value to the experience of the patients and families we serve. We couldn’t do it without our volunteers and their generosity of time and spirit.
If you’re interested in volunteering but aren’t quite sure where you fit in, review the volunteer opportunities listed below. Whatever your skills and interests, we can help you find a way to make a difference and receive great satisfaction in return. We have something for everyone, and we're here when you need us.
Opportunities include:
Patient Visitor VolunteerVisit patients and families to provide respite, companionship and support. Volunteers offer comfort and companionship by reading to the patient, talking or just listening.
Treasured Pets VolunteerDo you love animals? Help our patients care for their furry companions! Treasured Pets volunteers are trained to help hospice patients care for their pets.
Foundation Events/Data Entry VolunteerAs a database/data entry volunteer, you will put to work your knack for typing, proofreading, and love of procedures and consistency. Or help out at one of our many fundraising events!
Thrift BoutiquePut your retail and sales experience to work by volunteering at one of our thrift boutiques in Stuart and Port St. Lucie.
Office SupportHelp keep our office running by answering phones, greeting visitors and helping with various administrative tasks.
Veterans Visiting VeteransVeteran Volunteers take special pride in recognizing veterans under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice, sharing the special bond between those who have served in the military. This is achieved through an honorary "pinning" ceremony and by just being present to visit with the veteran and share experiences.

Our Team
Our highly qualified team of physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers and chaplains educates people about their options long before, during and after health issues arise, offering tools and guidance at every stage. This partnership means that you and your loved ones can plan for and direct your journey as you personally wish.
As a community nonprofit 501( c)(3) organization, we have proudly served the residents of Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties since 1982, becoming nationally recognized for the quality of our care and our range of services. This high level of achievement is possible thanks to a highly qualified staff, volunteers who are passionate about caring for individuals and their families, and a board of directors deeply committed to our mission.

The Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation Board of Trustees leads our philanthropic efforts, playing a special role in assuring our continued excellence and attention to community needs. Thanks to this Foundation’s efforts and the generous support of our community, no one is ever turned away because of inability to pay.
