BJC Hospice is seeking volunteers with certified pet therapy dogs to brighten the day of hospice patients. Pet therapy volunteers visit patients in residences or nursing homes in their community, or they can visit patients at Evelyn’s House, our new hospice house in Creve Coeur.
Dogs must have pet therapy certification, and up-to-date vaccination records will need to be kept on file. The human half of the team will attend a comprehensive orientation for new volunteers. Volunteers will be able to set their own schedule for visits.
All BJC HealthCare volunteers must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19.
For questions, call Volunteer Coordinator Mary Lindsley at 314-953-1671, or email hospicevolunteer@bjc.org.
