The Arizona Association for Environmental Education seeks someone to help create and maintain a presence in the world of social media. We currently have a Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn account that is used to communicate with member and non-member audiences, used to engage them in Environmental Education related information opportunities across the state and nationwide. It is critical that we have a plan for engagement and an editorial calendar maintained by a single point of contact, such that we can engage other board and committee members in posting organized content.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Serve as lead point of contact for all social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
• Creating and maintain a "Social Media Plan"
• Create an editorial calendar.
• Develop and post relevant research, events, and informative information on the 3 existing social media platforms.
• Seek to connect with other organizations in AZ, via social media, and across the US engaged in Environmental Education.
• Attend monthly Marketing Committee meetings
• Other tasks, as personally desired, related to Marketing and Membership

Qualifications:

• A working knowledge of social media planning and engagement or a desire to learn through researching (NOTE: no one on the current committee or BoD is an expert in this field)
• A working familiarity with the Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn platforms
• Time to write and post content on all three social media account

Requirements of the Job:

• Brief introductory meeting with the committee co-chairs.
• Be, or become, a current member of AAEE.
• Participate in strategy sessions, and provide virtual input in the case of absence.
• Regular communication with Committee Chair and co-members
