Are you passionate about driving kids toward high paying, in-demand careers or connecting school to work? Are you passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education or STEM careers? If you also have a sense of humor, a sense of wonder, and little time to give each month, then Edheads is the place for you! Edheads is a 501c3 non-profit organization that ties K-12 classroom curricula to real world challenges and careers by providing free games (with cartoon characters) to teachers, students and parents. We are looking for mid-level managers and directors to help connect us to their STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) businesses or other similar businesses. You will use your existing networking contacts to introduce Edheads to 3-5 local medium and large size businesses and corporations over the next 6-9 months. Edheads will use these contacts to: recruit volunteers for fundraising events and other opportunities; connect with HR officers to determine what STEM fields are needed most in the next 10-15 years; connect to STEM experts to help with game development and game concept development; further network to determine funding possibilties; and eventually ask the business or corporation to help fund our mission (we do the asking - you just provide the connections). We ask 1-3 hours of your time a month.

We tie school to work by reinforcing basic skills and demonstrating how they are applied in STEM careers. On Edheads' site, students can be surgeons, manufacturing technicians, find simple machines, predict the weather, create a stem cell line and more!
