The Treasurer shall be responsible for all funds of the corporation; shall deposit all funds in the name of the corporation in such bank or banks as may be directed by the Board; shall disburse the funds of the corporation as directed by the Board; shall keep and maintain adequate and correct accounts of all receipts and disbursements; shall prepare and present financial reports as requested by the Board. The Treasurer shall serve as Chairman of the Budget Committee and as coordinator and ex-officio member of all committees of all committees assigned, and as advisor to committee chairs.

South Coast Literacy Council is an all volunteer educational and charitable non-profit organization serving south Orange County, California. Our principal mission is assisting adults to acquire the English language skills that they need for daily living; to take advantage of employment opportunities; and to integrate fully into society.

Description

SOUTH COAST LITERACY COUNCIL IS Currently recruiting Volunteers for In-Perso and Virtual classrooms. Computer skills and access to a password protected email is required. For further volunteer details logon to southcoastliteracy.org

South Coast Literacy Council (SCLC) celebrates 53 years of community service. SCLC provides free classes to adults learning English as a Second Language (ESL) from pre-literacy to advanced skill levels. Tutoring is provided in safe small-group environments at various locations throughout south Orange County, CA. Free training is provided to prospective tutors.

South Coast Literacy Council is a member of ProLiteracy.
