Cycling Classic Course Crossing Attendants (Alturas near Bartow)

Here is an opportunity to meet cyclists from all over the world, earn service hours for school (students), and help benefit the Humane Society and its service to animals! It is the 10th Annual Cycling Classic!

• Course Crossing Attendants are assigned to intersections along the cycling course (road). They stand or sit to the side of the course (out of traffic) and are equipped with safety signs to alert traffic of riders being present.
• Must be able to sit or stand up to 30 minutes at a time.
• Must be able to make sound decisions & use critical thinking skills.
• Attendants younger than age 14 are accepted when accompanied with a parent.
• Attendants are provided breaks for lunch & restroom breaks as needed.
• Drinks are provided on a regular basis and lunch is provided to Attendants who assist for the full day.
• BRING: Chair, Umbrella, hat, sunscreen
• The Alturas Course takes place among citrus groves, where there could still be some local traffic.
• Attendants will meet at the Corner of State Road 60 & Eighty-Foot Road in Alturas & event staff will transport them to the Start Line for Orientation.
