National Alliance on Mental Illness is America's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and familes affected by mental illness.

As our organization is growing, we need dedicated volunteers to assist us with developing and organizing a comprehensive database. Additionally, volunteers could be asked to provide IT support, based on the needs of the agency at the time.

Possible responsibilities could include the following:

*Utilize database software to develop a new database application

*Provide technical support for the database, troubleshoot and fix problems

*Support NAMI staff/volunteers in database usage

*Transfer existing information into the new database program

*Maintain the database by regularly updating the information and performing checks

for quality assurance

Flexible schedule and opportunity to work with a dedicated non-profit!

National Alliance on Mental Illness is America's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and familes affected by mental illness such as major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

Founded in 1979, NAMI has become the nation's voice on mental illness, a national organization including NAMI organizations in every state and in over 1200 local communities across the country who join together to meet the NAMI mission.

NAMI provides free educational programs and support groups for individuals living with mental illness and families/friends. Additionally, NAMI organizes educational events in schools and the local community.
