Summary: The Executive Director Administrative Volunteer will support the growth and sustainability of the Veterans Yoga Project through taking on administrative projects and supporting outreach efforts in the Northern California region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Executive Director to provide administrative support
- Support outreach events in the Northern California region
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Be self-directed and willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of Veterans Yoga Project volunteers, families, and donors
- Enthusiasm for the mission of the organization
Time Commitment
- 5-8 hours/week
- Preference will be given to those who can commit to a minimum of 12 weeks of service.

- Position is unpaid, volunteer role.
- Flexible scheduling, ability to work remotely as well as in person at the Oakland Vet Center.

Veterans Yoga Project is on a mission to support recovery and resilience among veterans, military families, and communities.
Description
Veterans Yoga Project is a national 501(c)3 on a mission to support recovery and resilience among our veterans, military families and communities. VYP envisions a future where all those affected by trauma have access to a full range of mind-body practices and programs, and is committed to providing these tools and training in Safer, Predictable and Controlled environments (SPaCe).
Founded in 2011, Veterans Yoga Project is an IAYT member school, an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider and a certified Yoga Alliance School ( RYS-200 YACEP). Working in partnership with veterans, active-duty military personnel, student veterans' organizations , veterans treatment courts and other non-profit organizations, VYP-trained instructors and clinicians provide programs, resources, connections and teach over 100 free yoga classes each week.
