The National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP) is looking for an energetic and driven Human Resources Generalist. The ideal candidate is experienced in serving in a team-oriented environment and is motivated by a fun and positive environment. Additionally, the HR Generalist will work alongside the HR Manager and develop opportunities to implement positive relationships throughout the department and the organization. The ideal candidate will have a "can-do" attitude, "people-first" philosophy, and servant-leadership approach towards the department's and organization's vision, mission, goals, and objectives. This position reports to the HR Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates engagement activities for the department and the organization
- Maintain positive outlook regarding the department’s and organization’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of the department’s goals and objectives
- Provides direct support to the HR Manager
- Provides status report to HR Manager regarding all HR activities and goals
- Assists with culture assessment and initiatives
- Assists with HR administrative activities such as maintaining personnel files, completing exit interviews, full-cycle recruitment, department correspondences, etc.
- Develop and maintain various HR reports and metrics
- Participates in department and NAAHP meetings/seminars
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- 2 years experience a multi-functional HR role with various responsibilities
- Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
- Experience in providing customer service
- Comfortable with working in a virtual environment
- Must be proficient in verbal and written communication skills (i.e. delivering presentations, emailing stakeholders, etc.)
- Experience creating reports and tracking HR data
- Highly organized with ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Knowledge/experience with state and/or federal regulations and laws
- Ability to teleconference via Google Hangouts
- Some weekend flexibility/availability
