Volunteers will assist City staff to create a welcoming and clean environment at the Cadman Recreation Center located between the Bay Ho neighborhood of City Council District 2!
Activities include; litter abatement, planting and spreading mulch, non-native brush removal, painting tables, curbs or baseball backstops.
Help us clean up the recreation center and playground areas!
Cadman Recreation Center serves thousands of San Diego's community members throughout the year providing, sports, arts and crafts, homework help, a playground, dog park, green park space, baseball fields and many other recreational activities and opportunities for community members of all ages! Come out and help us for this one-time event hosted by the Park and Recreation Department during the "City of San Diego Week of Service" to make San Diego a world class city for all!
Shifts from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00a.m. on April 26th. Please wear closed toe shoes, long sleeves and pants and proper sun protection. Water and a limited number of work gloves will be provided, if you have your own leather work gloves, please bring them with you!
PLEASE BE AWARE: There is a Dog Park at this location, so you will likely be in the general vicinity of dogs at some point when you are here.

Park and recreation professionals and volunteers host hundreds of community events each year and provide safe places for thousands of children to go after school. City employees and volunteers take great pride to enrich the lives of others through quality parks and programs, designed and developed so that people of all ages, abilities and income levels have the chance to participate in excellent recreational opportunities.
