Park and recreation professionals and volunteers host hundreds of community events each year and provide safe places for thousands of children to go after school. Very good experience, made a ton of friends, and overall work experience was not only educational, it was fun. Personal provided cold water, and even lemonade. Snacks provided + gardening things.

It was pretty fun and awesome. I helped out with the Easter event so I had to deal with kids. The kids were nice as well as the other volunteers.

It would be nice to have letter of appreciation at the completion of the event. It helps to have documented acknowledgment for volunteer work because it benefits the volunteer in one way or another.
