ORGANIZATION: Project for Pride in Living (PPL)

The Prospect Research Volunteer will play a key role in developing PPL’s major gifts program by conducting deep research on current and prospective major benefactors. Data mining within the Raiser’s Edge database and external to Project for Pride in Living. Clear direction and/or training will be provided.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • At the direction of the Major Gifts Officer, conduct prospect screening to identify new major donors and those with increased giving potential to Project for Pride in Living.
  • Perform wealth screening research and additional biographical, business and financial research on potential major gift prospects.
  • Maintain and update the donor database with results of research; record and report on findings.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Mature judgment and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Microsoft Office Suite and internet search proficiency
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge preferred
  • Previous experience in prospect research helpful
  • Must take a tactful and ethical approach to fundraising tasks. Possess mature judgment, and ability to maintain confidential information.
