St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii's Volunteer Program is seeking experienced Hawaii licensed cosmetologists. Volunteers must be willing to provide simple hair cuts or nail trimming at our inpatient facility and/or patient homes.

St. Francis needs cosmetologists who want to help our patients look and feel good about themselves despite their condition. Many of our hospice volunteers have stated that providing services to our patients is the most rewarding experience they have ever had. Your professional services will be based your availability and our patient requests. Please contact Angela Houghton, Volunteer Programs Manager, for more information at (808) 547-8134 or ahoughton@stfrancishawaii.org.

Mission Statement

Our Mission We are a Catholic Healthcare System in Hawaii, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis, committed to creating healthy communities in the Spirit of Christ’s Healing Ministry.

Description

Requirements: HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS - St. Francis Hospice was the first hospice program in Hawaii, and is the largest service area within the St. Francis Healthcare System. We are looking for volunteers who feel the calling and privilege to help their community. We have many settings available and will work with your schedule. Training is partially online from the comfort of your own home and a 4-hour in-person training orientation every couple of months. For students, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a healthcare system but still have flexibility for work and studies. For seniors and retirees, this you can donate as many hours as you feel called to give. Our seniors enjoy giving back to the community and being part of our St. Francis Ohana.
