ORGANIZATION: Reading Hosptial - Tower Health

We are looking for volunteers who have compassion for people who need cardiac surgery. Volunteers will act as guide and accompaniment for patients coming for preadmission testing (PAT). Volunteers will meet and greet our patients at the door, take them to preadmission testing, sometimes take them to radiology, wait with them and then take them back to PAT.

Volunteers must be willing to learn how to operate a wheelchair, be able to walk 1/3 mile multiple times a day and have a caring and personable disposition.

In addition to providing top notch health care we serve the wider community through The Friends of Reading Hospital whose fundraising event proceeds support innovative projects within the hospital and community.
