Reading tutor needed! Help a 1st grade student succeed! (Santa Ana, CA)

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: LINC Housing

We need a patient, caring individual who will work one-on-one with a 1st grade student who is at risk of falling behind. Students from low-income families often face greater disadvantages in the educational system, which can perpepuate the cycle of poverty. Help us break this trend by volunteering your time as an English language tutor!

Responsibilities include:

  • Practicing reading skills
  • Providing homework support and 1-to-1 tutoring
  • Brainstorming ways to help a 1st grade student succeed

Time: 4 - 5 PM

Day: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (preferred)

Youth education services take place directly at LINC Housing apartments inside LINC Cares community centers. Our staff and volunteers’ primary goal is to keep kids safe by creating an environment that fosters learning and creativity- free of charge to those most in need.

Learn new skills and have fun, all while improving the lives of low-income youth in our community!
