LifeSmart Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that enhances the availability of nontraditional educational classes and resources for underserved youth and communities. We help those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did; they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. At LifeSmart Education, we teach youth how to be socially and emotionally successful, and enable them to achieve their highest potential as law-abiding global citizens.

Role Description

We are looking for an administrative assistant to work closely with the Executive Director of LifeSmart Education. The volunteer will mainly be assisting with general office duties.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to work in a startup environment, help with process improvement, and is open to the challenges of a small nonprofit.

Some of the work may be done virtually, but the volunteer must be willing to go into the office in Grove City, Ohio to pick up files. The position requires a 3 month commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Outlook calendar
  • Filing
  • Responding to emails
  • Basic Research
  • Assist with virtual training for tutors
  • Create and maintain documents
  • Running errands (local area)
  • Additional ad hoc administrative tasks

Skills

  • Superior organization and time-management skills
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proactive and takes initiative in making things happen
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace a plus but not required
