5k Race Planning Coordinator

Delridge Community Center is looking to have a 5k Race Fundraiser in Aug. 2017.

We are looking for a volunteer to help guide and coordinate the planning, logistics and day of activities for this event. You will be working with and have the support of the Center Coordinator and Advisory Council to help with the planning.

Some responsibilities of the 5k Planning Coordinator will include (but not limited too):

  • Marketing evet

  • Planning Route

  • Helping secure sponsors

  • Coordinating other Volunteers throughout the planning process and the day of event

  • Order materials and supplies, with assistance of Center Coordinator

Steps:

1. Interview with the staff to discuss volunteer options

2. Register as a volunteer

* Go to www.seattle.gov/parks/volunteers and click on Volunteer Opportunities complete the online Recreation Application or Parks & Greenspace link

3. Once you are recommended as a volunteer, complete the

background check paperwork

* Return to supervisor for approval and processing

* Staff will notify you of the BGCK result within 15 working days

4. Volunteer service begins once all above steps are completed

Seattle Parks and Recreation - Central Recreation consists of Montlake, Miller, Garfield, Yesler, and Queen Anne Community Centers. In addition, Central Recreaion provides support for the new Belltown Community Center scheduled to open in June of 2012.
