Do you enjoy baking? VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) likes to present their senior clients who are celebrating their 90th birthdays (or older) with a cake for their birthday.

Here's what we need and how you can help:

  1. Purchase a boxed vanilla cake mix (approx. $1.00)
  2. Bake cake in two round cake pans. ONLY round cakes are acceptable.
  3. Leaving the cake plain - with NO FROSTING - freeze each layer separately.
  4. Drop frozen layers of cake off at our offices.

For students of ANY age, that need volunteer hours for school credit - you will be awarded one hour of service for each cake. Adults are also welcome to participate in this program.

Cakes will be thawed and frosted monthly, prior to delivery to our birthday ladies & gents! Deliveries are made in several Polk communities.

What a great way to help make these seniors special birthdays a great day of celebration!
