Location: SUN Buckman Elementary
Duties: Assist teachers with setting up supplies and keeping students on task.
Tutor students on various subjects with an emphasis on reading, writing and math.
Help with activities such as drama, botany, sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, language and more.
Be a positive role model for students.
Communicate clearly and effectively with parents, teachers, staff, and students.
Schedule & Commitment:
At least 1 afternoon per week, Monday - Friday (Monday and Friday most needed)
3:00 - 5:30 pm.
Qualifications:
Be encouraging, patient, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual.
Enjoy working with students.
Sensitive/open to people from diverse lifestyles, socioeconomic levels, and cultures.
Work as part of a team.
Attend required trainings.

Available April-June, September-December, and/or January-March
We also have occasional opportunities for day-long camps on no-school days (there are quite a few in the fall) and we can always use volunteers for those events. Address: 320 SE 16th Ave
