About

The Aunt Mary's Storybook project brings into seven Illinois county jails and five state prisons a selection of brand new books, along with audio recorders. Project volunteers assist participating prisoners in choosing an age-appropriate book for each of their children. Each of the participants are then given an opportunity to record him or herself reading the books for their children. On behalf of the incarcerated mother or father, our organization then sends the books and CDs to the children.

We are looking for a few people located in or near the Batavia area to help enter donated and purchased books in to our online inventory database. Very easy data entry! Training on our inventory database will be provided.

This volunteer position is done from home, although we will need to meet occasionally to provide you with the necessary supplies.

Please contact us if you are interested.
