We always have an overwhelming about of sunglasses coming into our store and we need help!
There isn't a whole lot to it besides just having the patience to go through all the sunglasses we have come through.
This job includes sorting the glasses by thier specifc frame shape, cleaning them as you are sorting, and then researching any higher priced sunglasses. As well as being able to decipher fakes and cheap glasses from the nicer ones.
We do ask that for this position you have a well-rounded knowledge on sunglass brands so that you are able to spot special brands or nicer sunglasses that we may not be able to notice. This is needed because we do want to be able to trust these volunteers to price the glasses at a good price for both the customer and the Thrift Shop.
This would be a simple job in just a couple hours a week to be able to keep maintaining an easy going process and a satisfactory flow of products.
Benefits:
20% volunteer discount for 12 or more hours worked per month
30% discount for 24 or more hours worked per month.
MITS provides on the job training and professional references.
Most of all we value our connection and comradery as a community working to support a great cause, Mercer Island Youth & Family Services.
