You will need to serve food and drink at the event while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner.
v Assisting with setting up for event by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet table
v Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests
v Serving and/or assisting seniors with filling glasses of ice tea/water
v Assisting with descending plates of unused food, drinks, etc.
v Maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness (use of hair nets, plastic gloves, aprons etc)
As the person who welcomes guests to the event, you are the face of the event. Your warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm will put people at ease and spark excitement, so please smile and share your expertise! You will stand or sit in the lobby of the venue and near the front door. You will need to report to the Event Coordinator. Your main responsibilities are to:
v Escort seniors to their table/seat
v Provide directions and information to attendees
v Distribute programs and brochures
v Respond to request for help from attendees
Your role is simply to direct traffic and parking in the parking on the day of the event, as well as direct attendees to the entrance of the venue.
You will be responsible for:
v Signing guests in.
v Helping them with their name tags
v Handing them the program for the day
v Collecting evaluation survey
