Join our growing program as a group respite volunteer!
Family Caregiver Connection seeks caring, patient, and dependable volunteers interested in working with seniors. We are also in need of volunteers who are registered nurses. Make a meaningful contribution to a senior and their caregiver by providing fellowship, activities (conversation, simple games, drawing/painting, story-telling) and socialization to family members who are experiencing long-term illness while allowing caregivers to benefit from support groups, education or several hours of respite.
There are several group respite locations to choose from in Anoka, Coon Rapids, Linwood and Brooklyn Park. Time commitment is flexible and averages 6-12 hours per month.

The Anoka County RSVP connects people age 55 and over who want to volunteer with non-profit and social service programs in Anoka County who need volunteers. Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits.
