The Culver City Rain Garden is a Low Impact Development (LID) project that captures and infiltrates storm water runoff from the adjacent industrial parking lots and streets, removing harmful pollutants and metals before reaching Ballona Creek. The garden is planted with native riparian vegetation to enhance water quality, provide habitat for native birds and wildlife, as well as beautify this stretch of Ballona Creek.
I case you've helped with the rain garden before, the rain garden is on both sides of the Ballona Creek, so please consult the current address to make sure you're on the scheduled side.
Park anywhere on Jackson Ave.
Parental waiver required for those under 18. Those under 16 can participate if accompanied by an adult.
