Cabrini's Supportive Housing Program houses adults exiting homelessness in apartments across Hennepin County. Residents have a mental health diagnosis &/or addiction and work collaboratively with a case manager to accomplish recovery goals. Volunteers support day-to-day office functions, including phone and in-person client interaction.
Duties:
- Answer phone, sort mail, purchase supplies
- Provide assistance with resident needs
- Data entry, filing, and photocopying
- Process monthly needs requests and maintain client files
- Organize/maintain storage room and cabinets
Qualifications:
- 2 years office/admin experience
- Sensitive to issues of homelessness, mental illness, chemical dependency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, internet and office equipment preferred
- Detail oriented and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Dependable, responsible, flexible, patient
- Must maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries
- Able to make a weekly commitment for 6 months
