ORGANIZATION: Project for Pride in Living (PPL)

Cabrini's Supportive Housing Program houses adults exiting homelessness in apartments across Hennepin County. Residents have a mental health diagnosis &/or addiction and work collaboratively with a case manager to accomplish recovery goals. Volunteers support day-to-day office functions, including phone and in-person client interaction.

Duties:

  • Answer phone, sort mail, purchase supplies
  • Provide assistance with resident needs
  • Data entry, filing, and photocopying
  • Process monthly needs requests and maintain client files
  • Organize/maintain storage room and cabinets

Qualifications:

  • 2 years office/admin experience
  • Sensitive to issues of homelessness, mental illness, chemical dependency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, internet and office equipment preferred
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Dependable, responsible, flexible, patient
  • Must maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries
  • Able to make a weekly commitment for 6 months
