The Boys and Girls Club of Salem is seeking volunteers to help with College and Career Prep Night. We are seeking volunteers to help us during our event on January 26th. The event will be from 3:30-7 PM, but we will also be needing volunteers for set and clean up. Below are the various volunteer opportunities. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties is to inspire and enable all youth grades 1-12, especially youth from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens through the development of a positive self-image and self-reliance.
Description
Founded in 1967, through the cooperative efforts of several community groups including the Salem Optimists Club and the American Legion, the Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties currently operates four highly successful neighborhood youth centers, two gang prevention outreach sites and community-wide athletic programs.
For 40 years the Boys and Girls Club has given children opportunities for success in our community, focusing on five core areas: Health & Life Skills, Education & Career Development, Character & Leadership Development, Sports, Fitness & Recreation and the Arts.
