Come and join the planting party with Friends of Trees on Saturday, February 11th in Beaverton! We will be planting large-stock street and yard trees as part of a larger effort to bring the benefits of trees to more homes in this growing city. No tree-planting experience necessary--we provide the guidance, tools, and gloves. Additionally, our neighbors will provide a delicious potluck lunch for our volunteers following the planting!
Please arrive to the staging site by 8:45am to be assigned a crew and enjoy some FREE breakfast treats and hot coffee/tea to fuel up. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am and concludes around 1pm. Although we provide the tools and guidance, we expect our volunteers to show up dressed for the weather and wearing closed-toe sturdy shoes. We recommend rain pants, a rain jacket, warm layers, and a hat that you don’t mind getting a little muddy!
Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people - registration is easy, just visit: http://friendsoftrees.org/volunteering/group-registration and provide the information to ensure you and your crew plant together. RSVPs are not required for individuals or groups of 4 or fewer -- you can simply show up!
