We need volunteers for our Child Enrichment Center (downtown Colorado Springs on Colorado Avenue and Wahsatch). When our single moms in our one-year housing program are attending their life-skills classes, we need help with the kiddos! Stop the cycle of poverty. Age to volunteer in the CEC without a parent or guardian is 16 years old.

Description
Partners in Housing is a Colorado Springs non-profit that provides a year of transitional housing and supportive services to families experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness. We have 68 housing units that range in size from motel-style apartments to single-family homes. We have both centralized and scattered locations. We provide families in our Family Self-Sufficiency Program one-on-one budget and credit counseling, individualized case management, resource navigation, housing navigation, career readiness sessions, life skills classes, access to two free Donation Centers (includes items such as canned goods, hygiene products, diapers, kitchenware, bedding, clothing, furniture, and mattresses), and on-site childcare. Last year, 90% of the families in our program successfully moved onto safe and stable housing upon graduation.
