ORGANIZATION: Boys & Girls Club of Salem Marion and Polk Counties

The Boys and Girls Club of Salem is looking for mentors for T3: Training Teens for Tomorrow programs, which is a cohort of Juniors and Seniors in high school. Mentors can be college students, recent grads, or community leaders. During the mentoring session, the volunteer will be able to help the student with questins regarding college, scholarships, and more. Volunteers are asked to commit at least 2hours every other week.

Description

Founded in 1967, through the cooperative efforts of several community groups including the Salem Optimists Club and the American Legion, the Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties currently operates four highly successful neighborhood youth centers, two gang prevention outreach sites and community-wide athletic programs.

For 40 years the Boys and Girls Club has given children opportunities for success in our community, focusing on five core areas: Health & Life Skills, Education & Career Development, Character & Leadership Development, Sports, Fitness & Recreation and the Arts.
