Clients are only available for interview when the Food Pantry is open: Tues/Thurs from 10-11:45am.
Loop Ministries needs someone who likes to talk with ("interview") people. The interviewer would chat with one of our Food Pantry visitors, and then write an interesting story that will be used in various ways: in grant applications and reports, on social media or our website, in donor thank you letters, etc.
The story should help readers understand what brings people to Loop Ministries for food since the onset of the Corona virus pandemic, and how their circumstances are helped/improved by the services we provide. Our hope is that the stories will continue to educate our donors and inspire them to give time, foods or money to support Loop Ministries' efforts to help those who are hungry in the Rochester community.
The goal would be for you to submit one story each month (though we will gratefully receive many more if you are a prolific writer!)

About LOOP MINISTRIES
Location:

Mission Statement
Loop Ministries is a non-profit organization committed to helping people in and around Rochester's Inner Loop. We stock and organize a food pantry that provides groceries for people in need that is open 2 days a week. We participate in a monthly hot supper provided by Incarnate Word Lutheran Church where we distribute groceries at the end of the meal. We raise money and organize food collections to help us continue to provide these services.
Description
The Loop Ministries Food Pantry is open every Tuesday/Thursday from 10am - 12 noon. We provide bagged groceries to approximately 150 families every month.
Loop Ministries partners with Incarnate Word Lutheran Church which provides a hot supper on the last Saturday of every month. After the meal Loop Ministries provides a bag of groceries to each attendee.
We partner with Heritage Christian Services to transport food, stock our shelves, distribute groceries and provide job skill training to people with developmental disabilities.
