An up-to-date and attractive website is a key part of any organization’s success. TIHAN needs a volunteer who can periodically revise www.tihan.org to ensure fresh content and announcements. The Website Maintenance Volunteer works to a high level of detail, accuracy, timeliness, and ability to keep the site accurate and updated. Using your knowledge of WordPress software and website maintenance skills will provide you with the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping TIHAN keep the general public, as well as our CarePartners, volunteers, donors, and community partners, updated with current information about TIHAN and opportunities to participate. The volunteer can also use this experience on a resume, both to demonstrate technical skills, as well as a commitment to community service. Specific tasks include creating a monthly online e-newsletter from Word content, uploading images for both the online and emailed e-newsletter, uploading new and updated PDF and Word files to the web server as requested by TIHAN staff, including quarterly newsletter and annual report, updating TIHAN website pages as requested by TIHAN staff, including those for the Treasures for TIHAN auction, and periodically checking the website for broken or nonfunctional links. If you are familiar with WordPress software, can help two to five hours per month, working remotely from your home or office, this opportunity might be for you!
