An Internship at Tandem provides an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day and long-term workings of a non-profit organization. Interns work closely with their supervisor to create learning goals at the start of the internship that include a special project within their department.
The Communications Intern is an unpaid part-time position reporting to the Communications Manager. The CI may also work in coordination with the Executive Director and the Directors of Programs, Development, and Operations to support departmental priorities.
S/he is responsible for assisting the Communications Manager with written and electronic communications for program, development, and marketing purposes, including e-newsletters, web content, blog and social media content, press releases and media interviews, collateral materials, internal and external organizational templates, and print and digital program materials for a variety of intended audiences.
