We are seeking an experienced grant writer to work closely with the Executive Director in both prospecting grant opportunities and in writing grants. The ideal candidate is familiar with both national and international funding opportunities - government, foundations, private corporations, embassies and private donors . They should know how to do online research to find these opportunities and have at least 3 years in writing grants, proposals or strategic plans.

The grant writer will also be expected to help identify and apply for grants to address impact of COVID-19 in women. This position requires approximately 10 hrs. a week; work can be done from home with zoom or skype calls arranged 1-2x per month.

Description

Since 2006, Executive Director Susan Burgess-Lent has opened four Women's Centers: two in North Darfur, Sudan; Baraka Center in Nairobi, Kenya, and Oakland Women's Center in California, USA. Two of those centers continue their growth. WCI's vision is a global network of Women's Centers serving refugee and IDP camps, urban slums, and rural towns.
