Build a stronger community by educating local students about work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship!

Using lesson plans and materials provided by Junior Achievement, volunteers will work, in partnership with K-5grade teachers, to lead lessons included in Junior Achievement elementary school programs.

We will teach the entire JA program in a one day setting with each volunteer or team of volunteers teaching five lessons back to back in one classroom. Volunteers are needed for two 2nd grade and two 3rd grade classes.

This one day event date is FLEXIBLE and can be coordinated with our volunteers and participating teachers.

JA volunteers can be community members, business associates, retirees, college students and/or parents,

Training will be provided. Individual and group opportunities are available.

JA volunteers need to enjoy interacting with young people and feel comfortable in speaking in front of a group of students. Volunteers must provide their own transportation. A JA program kit including lesson plans and all materials needed will be provided during the volunteer training meeting.
