About SafeHouse Center
Location:
4100 CLARK RD, ANN ARBOR, MI 48105, US
Mission Statement
The mission of SafeHouse Center is to empower survivors of both sexual and intimate partner violence by providing advocacy, support, and promoting social change within our community.
Description
We are here to support survivors of Sexual Assault, survivors of Intimate Partner Violence, Dating Violence and Stalking and their families, friends, and our community. All our services are free, confidential, and available to survivors who live, work or were victimized in Washtenaw County.
SafeHouse Center has two large umbrella groups of volunteer opportunities: Direct Services and Non-Direct Services.
Direct Service programs offer volunteers the opportunity to work directly with survivors and their children. All of these programs involve crisis intervention work.
Non-Direct Service programs do not work directly with survivors, but offer volunteers the opportunity to interact with community members and donors.
Check out https://www.safehousecenter.org/volunteer-information-2-2/ for more details on volunteer opportunities and training schedules.
Virtual information sessions about our volunteer programs are held on the first Monday of each month. We ask that you attend one of these sessions before applying for a volunteer program. Please check this page for upcoming dates and times.
