Our Vets Need Your Expertise!

We are a small non profit in Manassas Park, VA looking for volunteers to staff several board committees. We have a vibrant board of directors who are all medical professionals but we need people with expertise in development (fundraising), marketing, strategic planning, finance, Telehealth policy and IT to help us reach our desired goals.

If serving on a board committee doesn't suit you, we also need volunteers in these areas:

• Administrative/clerical support
• Calligraphy or great handwriting
• Graphic arts or artistic background (we need help designing flyers, invitations, etc.)

We are Partners for Telehealth Solutions (PFTHS). Our mission is to aid and assist Veterans in any identified area - be it health, life skills, claims help, employment or housing - who are awaiting their benefits determination. We are particularly interested in veteran's health.

For vets who have a health problem like diabetes, chronic heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), getting treatment can be complex and inconvenient.

For some, especially older veterans, conditions like these can make it difficult for them to remain living independently in their own home and make it necessary for them to go into a nursing home where their symptoms and vital signs (pulse, weight, temperature etc.) can be checked frequently. Having this information means physicians and nurses can change medications or other treatments and prevent serious health problems from developing. This results in reduced health costs, decreased illnesses, increased access to specialty care and overall better health for the vet.

Our needs are immediate, varied and ever changing so we promise you a stimulating work environment. We are flexible and can work around your schedule for days, evenings and weekends. Some work might actually be completed at home! If you have some spare time, know your way around the non profit arena or are just passionate about helping vets, we would love to hear from you.
