URGENT COVID relief needs- need volunteers to create effective fundraising campaigns and share the campaigns- the situation in India in April 2021 is dire- with increasing COVID cases, hospitals running out of beds, lack of enough oxygen to patients, running out of medications to treat COVID, people not being able to afford treatment, and impact on livelihood for poor people due to COVID restrictions.
While some people are able to stay home and stay safe while working virtually, this is not an option for millions of people who have to go out and work daily to earn their daily wages. Pregnant women are not receiving the medical care they need, children are facing food insecurity. There is a critical need to help these mothers and children in need. Ekam USA is providing nutrition and covid protection kits as well as PPE to hospitals and medical care to those in need. We need volunteers to join us in this effort.

Also please let us know if you have expertise in marketing, finance, content creation, website management, service activities, youth coordination, etc. Please submit the form with your talent and time you can commit to. We do not want volunteers that are not dedicated to the cause of helping children in need. We are happy to explain our cause to you and how it would help you serve those in need.

President's volunteer service award is available for youth volunteers who serve 50-100 hours in 1 year or families that serve 200-1000 hours in 1 year.
Youth Ambassador Program will be offered to volunteers above 14 years in high school or in college.

NO CHILD SHOULD BE DENIED MEDICAL TREATMENT DUE TO FINANCES

We work with our sister organization Ekam Foundation http://ekamoneness.org to provide medical care for children in India who have financial constraints. Parents who earn minimum daily wages cannot afford major surgery or ICU care for their sick children. They are in a sad state of giving up on the sick child in order to feed the other children. Ekam steps in to pay for their health care costs.

Ekam also has screening programs to identify children who need medical care/ surgery, community awareness and education campaigns in rural areas as well as camps for adolescent girls.

Our goal is to reduce infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate.

Ekam does this by training nurses, servicing equipment and keeping it functional in public health systems, etc.
They have reached over a million children. Please partner with us in taking this mission forward- No child should be denied health care due to financial reasons.
