Mission Statement
Ekam USA Inc Mission Statement To develop a high quality, comprehensive, continuous healthcare model that will ensure care of every neonate, infant, child, adolescent and mother in a respectful, caring and family centered environment, regardless of their financial situations by supporting and improving the public health care system. To support and improve health care for children in financial need. To remove financial constraints on parents of needy children. To develop a healthy word population by improving awareness through education and preventive program, as well as providing support for children’s health care. To develop a sense of service in the community by local service projects.
Description
We work with our sister organization Ekam Foundation http://ekamoneness.org to provide medical care for children in India who have financial constraints. Parents who earn minimum daily wages cannot afford major surgery or ICU care for their sick children. They are in a sad state of giving up on the sick child in order to feed the other children. Ekam steps in to pay for their health care costs.

Ekam also has screening programs to identify children who need medical care/ surgery, community awareness and education campaigns in rural areas as well as camps for adolescent girls.
Our goal is to reduce infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate.
Ekam does this by training nurses, servicing equipment and keeping it functional in public health systems, etc.
They have reached over a million children. Please partner with us in taking this mission forward- No child should be denied health care due to financial reasons.
We are looking for volunteers who can spare time and have any skills- fundraising/ marketing/ computer/ website skills - to help spread the word about Ekam in USA. Please see www.ekamusa.org and contact us how you would like to help us.
We need support with recruiting volunteers throughout the country, organizing fundraising events, identifying donors and identifying resources for a new non-profit.
